PARLEY ??? 2 year old Dachshund mix Wow this boy has been through a lot in the last 6ish months. We got a call approximately in February this year from our vet asking us if we could take a Doxie who recently became paralyzed and whose family couldn’t keep him now or care for him. We had to help so we got him in for spinal surgery immediately and spent 4.5 months rehabbing him back to health. Last month he finally started walking again and we are so proud of him. He still has a funky gait with a slight delay on one side but it’s part of his unique charm now. ???????? Parley still wears a belly band to avoid minor leaks since his nerves that control his urination are still healing. He does go on his own fine but he appreciates a little help to express the bladder fully when it’s outdoor potty break time. It just helps him empty his bladder quicker so everyone can move onto the next!! ??? This boy is such a Velcro pup!! He loves to just be by your side always and would love a family who was home more than not. We think he could be happy in a family with or without other pups. Again his favorite things are his people!! No small children for this boy. He appreciates a mature group of people around him who know his current limitations and who are always paying attention that he never gets hurt again. Older children would be just fine though. ? Parley’s foster mom has cared for him for a long time and has fallen hard for him but knows he needs his own family with all the attention. Currently he is in foster care with other small dogs and does amazing aside from some very slight resource food guarding. Feeding dogs separately is all that is needed. And finally, Parley does not like cats so a home without any is definitely a plus. ? So who wants to love this boy forever so he knows he will never be abandoned again??? Where are my special needs lovers out there!?!? Please share him far and wide Vegas. We need to get this boy into his forever home ?
